| Asian Night Market & Festival Friday May 30, 2008 6:30 pm till midnight Olympic Plaza - downtown www.calgarycultureclub.com With food, vendors, storytellers, magicians, game booths, collections, and performances, the Night Market showcases traditional as well as evolving and fusing Asian-Canadian expressions. From family activities and cultural performances during the day to the lanterns that will burn into the night and a variety of contemporary performances, the festival will provide a day of opportunities to discover and enjoy. From professional artists to community groups, from cultural displays to cultural fireworks, the Night Market offers an alluring array of sights, sounds, and experiences right in the middle of downtown. Olympic Plaza will be full of vendors selling their wares on tables and the ground, with free performances running throughout the day and night. |
